Where the Sun Rests

This work was created outdoors on Vienna's Karlsplatz, a place where history and everyday life exist in perfect harmony. Surrounded by magnificent historic architecture, I found a quiet refuge in the shade of old trees, where soft light danced over the grass and the rhythm of the city seemed to slow down. What impressed me most was this unexpected contrast — the grandeur of the surrounding buildings and the peaceful intimacy of the park. For a moment the noise of the city fell silent, replaced by birdsong, moving shadows and the soft rustle of the wind in the leaves. With loose brushstrokes and vivid layers of colour, I wanted to capture not only the view but also the feeling of sitting there and enjoying the cool shade and the quiet beauty in the heart of Vienna.
