Never Againe

This oil painting depicts one of the imposing flak towers in Vienna's historic Augarten. Built during the Second World War as part of the city's air defence, the tower is today a haunting monument to the past. The artist portrays the massive concrete structure against a soft blue sky, surrounded by autumnal trees in warm earthy tones. At the foot of the tower are engraved the words “Never Again” — a moving message of remembrance and hope for peace.
