Fanningberg 4

One of six works created during my plein-air session in Fanningberg. I painted this picture outdoors in Fanningberg, Austria, amid the quiet vastness of the Alps. The winter landscape appeared almost monochrome, yet was full of subtle tonal gradations — soft greys, muted greens and countless shades of white that conveyed the cold of the air and a deep stillness.
