Before the Art Basel

This painting captures a quiet summer morning in a small town near Basel, Switzerland, before my visit to Art Basel. While looking forward to spending the day surrounded by remarkable contemporary artists and inspiring exhibitions, I was captivated by the peaceful atmosphere of this charming street. I made several sketches and reference photographs on location, then recreated the warmth, light, and tranquility of that morning in my studio. The vibrant geraniums, sunlit facades, and gentle rhythm of the street became the essence of the painting. Created in oil on canvas, this artwork reflects my passion for preserving authentic travel experiences and the unique atmosphere of places that inspire creativity.
