Among the Lavender

This painting was inspired by a summer journey to Lake Balaton in Hungary with my son. We discovered this lavender field along the way, and I wanted to preserve the feeling of that moment — the soft colours, the warm air, and the quiet joy of travelling together. I was fascinated by how the figures seemed to disappear among the lavender, becoming part of the landscape. The violet fields, pale sky, and distant houses created a peaceful world of their own. For me, this painting is not only about a beautiful place. It is about memory — about how a landscape can hold a particular moment of our lives and bring us back to it years later.
