The Road to singing

This painting was inspired by a memorable journey to a choir festival in Grünbach am Schneeberg. While the festival itself was wonderful, what stayed with me most was the road leading there — endless green fields scattered with vibrant red poppies beneath dramatic clouds that promised a summer storm. I remember the feeling of anticipation in the air, the contrast between the calm landscape and the powerful sky above. Later, a beautiful rainstorm arrived, becoming part of the memory that inspired this work.
